The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to provide information on the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Data to third party-partners by the Romanian Midwives Association, having the following identification data: registered office in Bucharest, Bd. Unirii nr. 33, bl. A2, sc. 2, et. 1, ap. 25, Sector 3, registered in the Register of Associations and Foundations with no. 8/1975, bank account opened at Unicredit Bank, IBAN RO40BACX0000002801990000, duly represented by Mateescu Irina- Alexandra, in the position of President (hereinafter referred to as the “Romanian Midwives Association”), as owner of the website www.asociatiamoaselor.ro (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”).

The Romanian Midwives Association undertakes to comply with the provisions of the legislation in force on the protection of Personal Data, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (“GDPR”);

The Romanian Midwives Association is obliged to ensure that employees and/or other third-party collaborators are informed and trained on the legal provisions in force regarding the protection of Personal Data;

This Privacy Policy concerns the Personal Data of visitors to the Website, other persons who contact and visit us and their representatives, potential collaborators and applies to data collected through the Website, as well as to all other Personal Data we collect through e-mail, contact form, contests, use of the Website or other off-line contacts.

This Privacy Policy describes:

 

  • the categories of Data Subjects, what types of Personal Data we collect and process;
  • the purposes for which we collect and use your Personal Data;
  • to whom we may disclose Personal Data;
  • how long we process this data;
  • your rights as Data Subjects and how to exercise them.

 

CATEGORIES OF DATA SUBJECTS AND DATA PROCESSED

We obtain personal information from you when you request information related to our activities, register with www.asociatiamoaselor.ro, send us an e-mail, make a donation or otherwise provide us with personal information. Sometimes, we may obtain your personal information from third parties, only if they have provided us with formal proof in advance that you have consented to your Personal Data being shared with other organizations.

We use the personal information we collect from visitors to the Website to process and respond to requests submitted through our Website, record donations received through our Website as well as to send newsletters that visitors have subscribed to while visiting our Website.

We collect general information about how our Website is used, such as pages visited or areas of interest to users. Data Subjects whose Personal Data will be subject to Processing under this Policy:

 ☒      Natural persons over the age of majority and minors through their representatives, final beneficiaries of the activities carried out within the framework of the Romanian Midwives Association’s programs;

☒       Relatives and next of kin of individuals who are the final recipients of activities/sponsorships under the programs carried out by the Romanian Midwives Association;

☒       Major individual Sponsors or Representatives of Sponsors;

The categories of data processed are: name, surname, address, telephone number, e-mail address, CNP (personal identification number), IBAN. In the case of requests for medical services, medical history data will also be requested.

 

 

DATA RECIPIENTS

 

The Romanian Midwives Association may transfer data pursuant to this Privacy Policy to the following categories of Recipients who also have their own privacy policies regarding the protection of Personal Data:

 

☐     Sponsors, partners, affiliates of the Romanian Midwives Association;

☐       relevant public authorities in order to fulfill the legal obligations of the Sponsor;

☐       public or private medical facilities providing medical services promoted by the Romanian Midwives Association;

☐       online social media platforms and Visitors of social media platforms.

In the event that some recipients are located outside the European Union, the Romanian Midwives Association will only make such transfers where there is a legal basis for doing so, including to a recipient that is: (i) in a state that provides an adequate level of protection for Personal Data or (ii) under an agreement that meets the European Union’s requirements for the transfer of Personal Data to processors established outside the European Union.

Also, in order to receive donations, the Romanian Midwives Association uses the online payment platform Stripe, which has its own privacy policy.

 

PURPOSES AND GROUNDS FOR PROCESSING

 

The Romanian Midwives Association may process data submitted to it by Data Subjects for the following purposes:

  • to handle your queries and referrals;
  • to process donations made online;
  • to provide you with information related to the Romanian Midwives Association’s work, campaigns and events and our services;
  • to agree with the association’s legal obligations, policies and procedures;
  • to provide information on where your donations are going;
  • to promote and popularize the image of the Romanian Midwives Association and its activities;
  • for fundraising purposes;
  • to facilitate access to medical services;
  • for benefits from activities carried out through the Romanian Midwives Association’s programs;
  • to achieve a legitimate non-commercial interest of the Romanian Midwives Association.

The Romanian Midwives Association processes Personal Data only in the interest of the users of the Website who wish to receive help from the organization or who wish to collaborate as a Sponsor.

The Romanian Midwives Association processes the above-mentioned Personal Data only for the purpose of saving your request in the organization’s administration account and in order to be able to send recurring messages (in case you request subscription to the organization’s newsletter service).

If you do not want your Personal Data to be processed, you can contact us to send us a message or an offer of help through your own means of communication, using the contact details provided by the Romanian Midwives Association in this Privacy Policy and on our Website.

DURATION OF PROCESSING

We intend to keep Data Subjects’ Personal Data for the duration of the contracts/collaborations entered into, where applicable, in accordance with our legal obligations.

Where data is not collected in the context of a contract/collaboration or other agreement, such data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the intended data collection purpose or any longer period required by law, a record retention regulation or public authorities.

Immediately upon completion of the applicable archival period, the data must be:

  • securely erased or destroyed;
  • transferred to an archive (unless prohibited by law or record retention regulation).

Personal Data collected and used for subscribing to our newsletter will be deleted immediately if unsubscription from our newsletter service is requested.

 

YOUR RIGHTS

 

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation which is in force as of 25 May 2018, as Data Subjects, you have the following rights:

  • The right to access your personal information – allows you to obtain confirmation that your Personal Data is being processed by us and, if yes, the relevant details of such processing activities;
  • The right to request that your personal information be rectified or erased – allows you to obtain from us, without undue delay, the rectification of your inaccurate Personal Data, thereby having the right to obtain the completion of data that is incomplete, including by providing an additional statement, as well as the right to obtain the erasure of your Personal Data in certain cases (e.g. if the data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected or you have withdrawn your consent where the processing was based on your consent or the data has been processed unlawfully etc.);
  • The right to restrict the processing of your personal information – allows you to obtain the restriction of the processing of your Personal Data in certain cases (for example, where you contest the accuracy of your Personal Data, for a period that allows us to verify such accuracy);
  • The right to object – allows you to object to the further processing of your Personal Data under the conditions and within the limits set by law;
  • The right to make a complaint to the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing.

We encourage you to contact us immediately if you believe that your Personal Data has been provided without consent. We are committed to always treat your requests with the utmost care and to respond to any queries you may have as soon as possible.

 

SECURITY AND PRIVACY

The protection of information during the processing of your Personal Data is a major concern of the Romanian Midwives Association, which is why all Personal Data collected during visits to www.asociatiamoaselor.ro are processed in accordance with the legal provisions in force in Romania. The Romanian Midwives Association uses all reasonable technical measures for the transmission and storage of Personal Data in conditions of full security and confidentiality.

The Romanian Midwives Association undertakes not to disclose Personal Data regarding your visits on www.asociatiamoaselor.ro, except in legal situations or in the situations described in this Privacy Policy.

If we discover a Personal Data security incident that poses a risk to the rights and freedoms of our users, we will notify the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing within 72 hours. If the security incident is likely to pose a high risk to your rights and freedoms, you will also be notified.

 

CHANGES

This Privacy Policy was updated on 04 March 2025.

This Privacy Policy may be updated in the future.

When we do, we will post those changes on our Website so that you always have access to details about the information we collect, how and under what circumstances we use it, and, if applicable, disclose it. Any such change, material or otherwise, will take effect within 10 days of the new version being posted on our Website. Therefore, in order to keep up to date with up-to-date information on how your Personal Data is processed, we recommend that you check this Privacy Policy periodically.

If at any time we decide to use Personal Data in a manner different from that stated at the time of its collection, we will notify you by e-mail. You will have a choice whether or not we may use your data in this different way.
